If an athlete is a very salty sweater, they will need a higher concentration of sodium in their drinks, meaning PH 1500 is the right choice. It can also be used before or after exercise as a way to start optimally hydrated or rehydrate quickly. The packets have ~15g of carb (compared to the ~2g in the tablets) so they’re best for athletes who want to enhance electrolyte absorption and maximize fueling. 1 packet (1 serving) contains 750mg of sodium, as it is designed to be mixed in 500ml/16oz of water to achieve the relative concentration of 1500mg of sodium per 1L/32oz.
